The Mercury Seed - Dust
Five guys from Connecticut who pick up where The Black Crowes left off. Putting their own stamp on an amped-up brand of roots rock that mixes Zep and the Faces with a Mellencampian twist, the Seed's two-guitar attack is punctuated by singer Volker's blues-inflected growl. Among the many highlights on this, their second full-length, "Come Undone" stands out in particular, especially its irresistibly catchy chorus. A band that could find a huge audience if given the right push.
