2/19/2009 - Return To Motor City!

After a bit of an absence from the NYC bar scene--I've been busy, ok?--I descended on the Lower East Side's one and only Motor City Bar with my bag of tricks for a Thursday night of rock & roll favorites. I spanned worlds of classic punk, classic rock, and indie in a set list that leaned heavily on the bread and butter staples of the genre.

I have a feeling my next date there will find me roaming a little farther afield for some more obscure musical treasures. But one thing about DJing for a crowd is that it's completely different than DJing on the radio or in your living room; you have a crowd to please. I wish there were fewer of the more "obvious" tunes on this list, but you know what? This night rocked, everyone had fun, and if you weren't there, you missed it. But not to worry, I'll be back soon.
